Full Service Cremation includes:

Basic services of funeral director and staff
Embalming
Other preparation of the body
Use of facilities for visitation
Use of facilities for funeral service
Transfer of remains to our funeral home
Hearse

Direct Cremation
(without ceremony) includes:

Basic services of funeral director & staff
A proportionate share of overhead costs
Removal of remains
Necessary authorizations

What is cremation?

Cremation is simply a form of disposition. The crematable casket is placed in a cremation chamber where, through a process of heat and evaporation, the body is reduced to its original elements- bone fragments, not ashes.

Where does the cremation take place?

Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory is proud to offer on-site cremations for our families. This means your loved one never leaves our care, and is never sent to a third party for cremation. By having our own crematory, we are able to monitor and control the process, and ensure your loved one receives the highest level of care possible.

What do you do with cremated remains?

You can keep the ashes, have them buried or interrred in a cemetery or mausoleum, have them scattered, or any number of other options.

Do families who choose cremation need to purchase a traditional casket?

You can purchase a traditional casket if you wish for a viewing or service. You may also rent a casket for the viewing or service. For the actual cremation, the casket must be designated as a cremate-able casket.
