Bernice A. Trieglaff, age 99 of Appleton, passed away Thursday evening, October 12, 2017 at Rennes Health & Rehabilitation Center, Appleton.

Bernice Anna Marie Trieglaff was born January 6, 1918 in Tigerton, WI to the late Herman and Vollie (Hirt) Zellmer. She spent almost the first 12 years with her parents on a farm in Seneca, South Dakota. She went to Ford School which was a little country school with only 5 pupils total when she moved with her parents to live in Clintonville, Wisconsin. She was enrolled in St. Martin's Lutheran School and was confirmed in 1932. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1936. She attended Actual Business College in Appleton after which she was employed for a short time by Fox River Tractor Company and then for 11 years at the Four Wheel Drive, Clintonville. She was a Sunday School teacher and choir member at St. Martin's for over 15 years and also a member of the Walther League Society both locally and in the North Wisconsin District. She was married to Clarence Trieglaff August 4, 1948 recently celebrating 69 years of marriage. She and her husband owned and operated Kraemer Greenhouses in Neenah for a number of years. After retirement, she was involved in many Art Classes at Fox Valley Technical College, including rosemaling and decorative painting. She also started with china painting in Neenah, but took many years of classes in Green Bay with many seminars. She was a charter member of Fox Valley Rosemalers and Decorative Painters. Both she and Clarence enjoyed traveling; taking three trips to Europe, one trip to Norway, Sweden and Denmark with a cruise to Russia, and two trips to Hawaii. They also enjoyed their stay in California for two winters and twelve winters in Florida, but always came home from Florida for Christmas.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Clarence; two daughters, Jean (Kenneth) Haka of Waukesha, WI, and Carla (Mike) Holz of Black Creek, WI; six grandchildren, Randy Haka and Katrina Haka of Waukesha, and Matthew (Sarah) Holz of Black Creek, WI, Scott (Samantha) Holz of Black Creek, WI, Bradley Holz of Shawano, and Brian (Katye) Holz of Seymour, WI; great grandchildren, Kaden, Alexis, Ali, Kody, Emma, & Jack Holz; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband's parents; her brothers-in-law, Orville and Roy; and her sister-in-law, Lucille Hanson.

Christian funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 16, 2017 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Center, Outagamie County, with the Rev. Mark Gartner & the Rev. Andrew Frey officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.

Friends may call on Monday at the church from 9 AM until the time of the service.
