Bernice D. (Wiedenhoeft) Zick

Bernice D. Zick, age 94 of the Town of Matteson, Waupaca County, formerly of Cedarburg, passed away Monday morning, July 4, 2016 at Eden Meadows in Oshkosh.

Bernice was born on January 22, 1922 in Milwaukee as the daughter of the late Gerhardt and Adella (Pritzkow) Wiedenhoeft. She grew up in the Milwaukee area and was united in marriage to Edward T. Zick on April 18, 1957. The couple raised their family in Milwaukee where Bernice worked at the Brady Company, then Gimbel’s Department Store and later at Books & Things. The couple then moved to Cedarburg upon retirement. Edward preceded his wife in death. Bernice then moved to the Aster Retirement Community in Clintonville to be closer to family. Some of her favorite times were spent bowling, going on vacations, taking trips to the casino, and enjoying family gatherings.

Survivors include:

Her Daughters: Patti (Dan) Hill, Clintonville; Judy Johnson, West Bend; & Linda Buege, Kewaskum.

Sons: Ron Sandrock, Milwaukee; Ken (Mary) Zick, Ft. Wayne, IN; & Edward G. “Ted” Zick, Waukesha.

Numerous Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, a great-grandson, brother Milton Wiedenhoeft, & sister Dorothy (Roy) Fleming.

Bernice’s funeral service will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park Chapel, 10700 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53222. Rev. Rich Vincent will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
