Clifford F. Gartmann, age 93, of Salt Lake City, UT, formerly of Wausau, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at Sunrise Senior Living, Sandy, UT surrounded by his family.

Our beloved father and grandfather, Clifford Ferdinand Gartmann, is now at peace and has been re-united with the Lord.  Cliff was born in 1921 in Frankfurt, Wisconsin, to Ferdinand and Golda Gartmann.  Cliff was raised in Wausau, Wisconsin, and married Ada Seavers in 1942, who preceded him in death.  As a young man, Cliff joined the Merchant Marines and served in World War II. Clifford worked for Travelers Insurance Co. as a safety engineer for more than 40 years, working in both Wisconsin and the Intermountain area.  Cliff was a man of quiet and great faith and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Sandy, Utah, at the time of his passing. Clifford was a generous, kind, humble, honest, hard-working man, who loved his family and friends with all of his heart.  He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Clifford is survived by his daughters: Gail L. Johnson (Steven), West Jordan, UT, and Kay C. Krebs (Keith), Nathrop, CO; grandchildren: Sara M. Deitrich, Appleton, WI, Judge Michele Mladejovsky Christiansen, Salt Lake City, UT, and Aaron C. Weil (Linda), Denver, CO; and great-grandchildren: Connor, Samuel, and Jack Deitrich and Adie and Cate Christiansen.

Cliff will be happily greeted in heaven by his parents, his first wife, Ada, his second wife, Marilyn Newman, and many other family members and friends.

Cliff's family wishes to thank all of his many friends and care-givers at Sunrise Senior Living of Sandy and the wonderful nurses from Solstice Hospice Care.  Cliff will be buried in Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville, Wisconsin, and condolences can be left with Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home at www.eberhardtstevenson.com.
