Welcome to the memorial page for

Edward "Ed" F. Heideman

November 11, 1920 ~ November 10, 2014 (age 93) 93 Years Old

Edward “Ed” F. Heideman, age 93 of Clintonville passed away one day shy of his 94th birthday on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass.  He was dearly loved by his family.

Ed was born on November 11, 1920 in Symco, Town of Union, Waupaca County as the son of the late Edward G. and Melda (Klemm) Heideman.  He was raised along with his 2 brothers Kenneth & Luther.  Ed graduated from Clintonville High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison for a short course in milk testing.  He served many farmers in Door County and then took a second short course in engineering which required him to dismantle a tractor in its entirety and put it back together again.  This allowed Ed to gain valuable knowledge in machinery repair, which led to his return to the home farm where he farmed along side his brother Luther.  On April 17, 1949 Ed was united in marriage to Betty Anker.  They moved to Cary, IL where Ed studied Animal Husbandry before moving back to the Clintonville area.  Ed worked for 32 years as an artificial inseminator for Curtis Candy, based out of Illinois. He developed his own territory in the surrounding farming communities of Clintonville, Marion, Pella, Bear Creek, and parts of Shawano.  He received many awards throughout his career and retired in 1983.  Ed was a faithful member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville where he was a past president of the Men’s Club and enjoyed attending Bible Study.  He also had many interests involving the outdoors such as trapping, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling with his wife Betty in a snowmobile club made up of friends they had through St. Martin.  Ed was also very interested in antiquing with his wife and refinished many pieces of furniture.  They traveled together extensively throughout the country meeting many interesting antique dealers.  Ed cherished his family and they give God the glory for his faithfulness to them.
