Elaine A. (Baker/Rohrer) Nielson

Elaine A. Nielson, age 90 of Clintonville, passed away Monday morning, November 21, 2016 at the Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Elaine was born as Adeline Elaine Baker on November 19, 1926 in Antigo. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Phoebe (Manney) Baker. After the death of her mother in 1937 she came to Clintonville, at which time she was adopted by Mr. & Mrs. Clarence E. Rohrer, and her name was changed to Elaine Adeline Rohrer. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1944. On August 24, 1946, Elaine was united in marriage to Owen R. Nielson and the couple shortly after moved to a farm in the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County. Elaine and Owen then later moved to Clintonville in 1977 where they opened their real estate business that they operated from their home. The couple were current members at the United Methodist Church in Clintonville where Elaine served as treasurer for 3 years. She was also a member and Past Matron of the Clintonville Chapter #27, Order of the Eastern Star. Elaine served the Grand Chapter as Grand Martha from 1985-1986 as well as District Deputy for several years. She was also Grand Representative of Florida in Wisconsin from 1977-1978. Elaine was Past President of Neenah Assembly #164, S.O.O.B., and was a member of the White Shrine in Shawano. She was also a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary, where she served twice as President.

Survivors include: Her Husband: Owen.

Daughters: Judith Huntley, Clintonville & Carole (Ken) Ebert, New London.

Sons: Keith (Nancy) Nielson, New London; Gary Nielson, Clintonville; & Tim (Jackie) Nielson, Clintonville.

Grandchildren: Eric (Candace Roberts) Ebert, Craig (Addie) Ebert, Luke (Fiance, Ashley Boedecker) Ebert, Katie Nielson, Nikki (Eric) Ernst, Kevin (Staci) Nielson, Scott (Kim) Nielson, Mike (Stacey) Nielson, Brian (Megan) Nielson, and Adam (Stephanie) Nielson.

Step-Grandchildren: Jessica Suprise, Jill (Joe) Zilk, & Jenelle Suprise.

Great-Grandchildren: Eli, Jericho, Jaelynn, Ella, Amanda, Matthew, Nate, Aiden, Morgan, Emma, Bella, Kip, Mia, Braden, & Brenna.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Baker, her foster parents; Mr. & Mrs. Clarence E. Rohrer, and her siblings; Edwin Baker, June Baker Skidmore, Shirley (George) Brandenburg, and Dale Baker.

Elaine’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clintonville with Rev. Keith Wolf officiating. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
