Elenora Elna (Janke) Jaeger

Elenora E. Jaeger, age 92 of New London, formerly of Clintonville, passed away Monday evening January 22, 2018 at St. Joseph Residence, New London.

Elenora Elna Jaeger was born December 6, 1925 in New London to the late Reinhard & Clara (Tellock) Janke. After her schooling, Elenora worked as a nurse’s aid at New London Hospital during World War II. She was united in marriage to Edward Jaeger on June 4, 1946 in Waukegan, IL. She later worked for Triple O Bar & Supper Club & Trail-Et trailers, Manawa. Elenora then worked for Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville, until her retirement after 18 years. She was a current member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manawa; and a long-time member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville.

Mother, Grandma and Friend

No one was ready to let you go,

you have left us with such treasures, only you will ever know.

Precious memories of playing many games,

Scrabble, Yahtzee, Sheephead and Uno to name a few.

Your recipes will linger on, and be made with love for generations to come.

It breaks our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.

A part of you lives in all of us, whether we garden, play games or crochet.

You have taught us how to love, and will remain in our hearts from up above.

We will never be able to see a butterfly or bird, and not think of you and your love for the Lord.

You loved your many children, their children and their children.

You have given the word Family a special meaning.

How lucky we are to have been loved by you.

We will cry many tears, feel much pain.

But in the end we will feel your warm hands holding ours and telling us not to cry.

Your life is a legacy of Joy and Pride.

Our grateful hearts will treasure every memory.

Elenora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; & a grandson in infancy, Mike Jaeger.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Brian Weber & the Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Symco.

Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
