George Babino

June 11, 1960 ~ September 16, 2014 (age 54) 54 Years Old

George S. Babino, age 54 of the Township of Bear Creek, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday, September 16th 2014.

George Steven Babino was born June 11, 1960 in New London to the late Herman & Vera (Jepson) Babino and was baptized eight days later. As a young man, George lived and worked on the Moder family dairy farm and at 16 years old, met the love of his life Lori Korb. The couple have been together ever since, all 38 years worth. They were united in marriage on November 25th 1978 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where they are current members. George worked as a welder at Steel King in New London, and was also employed at Sturm Foods in Manawa. He worked as a journeyman lineman for the last 20 years at Clintonville Utilities and prior to that, he was on the road working for various power companies. George loved more than anything to spend quality time with family and his cherished friends: Kirt, Tim, Todd, Clarence, Buddy, Kevin, Brian, Kelly, all of the Berghuis family, and far too many others to mention. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time up north. For this “jack of all trades,” there was nothing that he couldn’t figure out or fix and he used this ability to help family and friends without hesitation, at a moment’s notice. George will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend with a heart of gold and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
