Howard F. Wick

Howard F. Wick, age 103 of Wausau, formerly of Clintonville, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, January 9, 2015 at the Wellington Place in Wausau.

Howard was born on September 25, 1911 in Westboro, WI as the son of the late Carl and Ella (Anderson) Wick.  On September 1, 1935 he was united in marriage to Carol Seavers at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau.  The couple moved to Clintonville where Howard was employed at the FWD Corp. for 40 years; retiring on June 28, 1974.  Howard was a faithful member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville and was also active in the community as a Past Commissioner for the Clintonville Housing Authority at Sun Valley Manor & and Past Director & Secretary of the then FWD Credit Union.  Howard was a gentle, caring person who loved his family very much. 

Survivors include:  His Daughter:  Shirley (Dr. Jerry) Ellis, Ogdensburg.

Grandchildren:  Connie (David) Hoff, Sr., Wausau.

                          Gregory (Lizbeth) Ellis, California.

                          Christopher (Trisha) Ellis, Wausau.

Great-Grandchildren:  Chad Ellis, Stevens Point; Cheyla Jade Ellis, Wausau.

Step-Great-Grandchildren:  David, Estephano, Brandson, and Brenna.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol, sisters; Helen, Hazel, & Joyce, and brothers; Reuben & Stanley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:30 AM at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Daniel Burns officiating.  Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville. 

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers memorials for Howard may be directed to the St. Martin Lutheran Church Radio Ministry.  The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family with the arrangements.  An online guestbook can be found for Howard at www.eberhardtstevenson.com.
