James “Jim” D. Werth, age 69, of Clintonville, passed away Wednesday May 20, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, following a brief illness.
James Douglas Werth was born October 30, 1945, the son of Harold “Dick” & Leona (Schmidt) Werth in New London. “Jim” grew up on the family dairy farm in the Town of Union, along with his brothers and sisters. He was confirmed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Symco May 17, 1959. He always had a love for fast cars, with a soft spot for Chevrolet two-doors, and seemed to have owned countless models throughout his life. He was united in marriage to Joyce Kuehl at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville on August 26, 1966 where the couple remained members. Jim was employed at Trade Winds, Manawa and FWD, Clintonville for a time, and then worked for Curwood Inc., New London as a press operator until his retirement after 34 years. Retirement years were spent staying busy maintaining his rental properties and traveling between Wisconsin and Florida where the couple had a home. Jim was in his element while on his trusty golf cart as a local “American Picker,” rummaging and finding items to buy, sell, and barter. He always had to be busy and loved to work with his hands. He was the kind of guy that could make anyone laugh and was well known for his humorous sarcasm.
Jim is survived by:
His wife: Joyce
