Jeanne M. (Fischer) Hoppe

Jeanne M. Hoppe, age 78 of Appleton, formerly of Clintonville, passed away Monday evening, October 10, 2016 at the Rennes Health and Rehabilitation Center in Appleton.

Jeanne was born on December 14, 1937 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Walter and Jeanette (Thurk) Fischer. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1955 and was later united in marriage to Franklin “Ben” Hoppe on October 19, 1957 at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. The young couple resided in Clintonville before moving to Florida in the early 1960s for Ben’s job at FWD Seagrave. 5 years later they moved back to Clintonville where they were members of Christus. The couple enjoyed spending time with friends over the years and were members of the Curling Club and Riverside Golf Course in Clintonville. More recently Jeanne and Ben moved to Appleton to be near family. Jeanne was an avid reader and enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles. She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother with a loving personality.

Survivors include: Her Husband: Franklin “Ben” Hoppe, Appleton.

Daughter: Jodi Kriewaldt, Appleton.

Sons: Jeff (Sarah) Hoppe, Green Bay & Jim “Buck” (Joni) Hoppe, Appleton.

Grandchildren: Joe (Melissa), Jeni (Ryan), Kelly, Alex, Nikki (Tim), Mandy (John), and Beau (Amanda).

Sister: Sandra (Leon) Westphal, Shawano.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Judith Fischer.

Jeanne’s memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12 PM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville with Rev. Benjamin Hollingsead officiating.
