Jeffrey A. Cowden

Jeffrey A. Cowden, age 59 of the Township of Pella, Shawano County, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home early Saturday morning December 23, 2017.

Jeffrey was born on April 21, 1958 in Milwaukee and was the son of Dorothy (Moder) Cowden and the late William “Bill” Cowden.  His family moved to Pella when he was just 14 years old. Jeffrey helped out on his family’s dairy farm and graduated from Marion High School in 1976. He worked as a machinist for the Little Rapids Paper Mill in Shawano for 16 years prior to becoming a machinist with Competitive Machine in Shawano where he was currently employed. On November 17, 1978 Jeffrey was united in marriage to Linda Burghduff in Caroline. The couple has resided since on the family farm where Jeffrey enjoyed taking care of his beef cattle and his dog; Bella. Aside from being an avid farmer, Jeffrey also loved deer hunting and looked forward to driving around the block to do some deer scouting with his sons.  His grandchildren meant the world to him and he was happy to be with them as they opened some of their Christmas gifts this year.

Survivors include: His Wife: Linda.

Sons: Jeffery, James (Chrystal), and Joseph (Caresse) Cowden.

Mother: Dorothy Cowden, Vero Beach, FL.

Grandchildren: Jacey, Cooper, & Kayne Cowden.

Sisters: Ellen (Steve) Marcel & Patti (Mark) Hawthorne.

Brother: Jon (Gail) Cowden.

Close Nephew: Larry Burghduff

Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives.

Also Good Friend: Carl Haupt.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father William “Bill” Cowden, a sister Cindy Cowden, and his father-in-law & mother-in-law Al & Karen Zalewski.

A gathering will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, 53 N. Main Street, Clintonville starting at 5 PM with a Time of Remembrance beginning at 7 PM. An online guestbook can be found for Jeffrey at www.eberhardtstevenson.com
