Joyce M. Meyers, age 82 of Clintonville passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton with her family by her side.

Joyce was born on December 9, 1931 in Hortonville as the daughter of the late Leonard & Meta (Maldwin) Steinberg. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. On August 9, 1952 Joyce was united in marriage to Oscar W. Meyers also in Hortonville. The couple then resided in New London for 10 years before moving to Clintonville. Joyce was a faithful member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville where she worked with the LWML, Sunday School, Busy 12, Sewing Bee, and Ladies Aid. She loved to sew, knit, crochet, work with needlework of all kinds, and was involved in making quilts that were sent to Lutheran World Relief through St. Martin's Sewing Bee. Joyce and Oscar spent a lot of time on their boat enjoying the water including waterskiing and camping. Joyce was also an avid bowler in her younger years, and enjoyed cooking and baking very much. She enjoyed working for over 20 years at the Clintonville Shopper's Guide in the ad layout department. Oscar preceded his wife in death on October 13, 1999. In more recent years, Joyce loved going to the Senior Center in Clintonville where she enjoyed many friendships and belonged to the Golden Agers Card Club. She was especially good at Sheepshead and became a loyal Green Bay Packers Fan over the years attending many games.

Peggy (Jerry) Buenning, Brooksville, FL.
Connie Bricco, Clintonville.
7 Grandchildren: Sarah (Kurt Weinand) Bricco, Clintonville; Ryan (Corinne) Bricco, Clintonville; Jeremy (Melanie) Buenning, Shawano; Molly (Derek) Hursh, Neenah; Jesse (Kristen) Kroll, Thailand; Jordan Kroll, China; & Joshua (Sarah) Kroll, Montana.
6 Great-Grandchildren: Brendan Buenning, Bree Bricco, Trinla Kroll, Joyah Kroll, Solomon Kroll, and Connor Buenning.
Her Sister: Dorla Marcks, New London.
4 Brothers: Alvin (Ethel) Steinberg, Hortonville; Laverne (Barb) Steinberg, Hortonville; Kenny (Dawn) Steinberg, Waupaca; & Dennis (Carol) Steinberg, Hortonville.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar, a sister Loretta, and a brother-in-law Richard Marcks.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:30 AM at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Daniel Burns officiating. Interment will follow at St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery also in Clintonville.
