Louis W. Buss, age 92 of the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County, passed away Wednesday morning, May 27, 2015 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass.
Louis was born on May 14, 1923 in the Town of Grant, Shawano County as the son of the late William and Bertha (Knaack) Buss. He graduated from Marion High School in 1943. Louis was united in marriage to Ruth Froehlich on November 10, 1951 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. The couple farmed in the Town of Grant for a few years before moving to their current residence at Ruth’s family’s farm in the Town of Larrabee in 1960. Louis loved farming and everything that came with it. He especially loved checking his crops on his gator and raising little piglets. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and playing a good game of sheephead. Louis was a faithful member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where he at one time served on the Church Council. He was a Christian man and enjoyed spending time on the farm with Ruth and their son Gary.
Survivors include:
His wife of 63 years: Ruth.
His Son: Gary Buss, Clintonville.
Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Reinhold, Raymond (Adala), Roland (Joyce), and Andrew (Ruth), and sisters; Hulda (Gilbert) Krueger, Esther Buss, Selma (Pat) Rock, and Hilda (Gary) Schutte, his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law; William & Mary Froehlich, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Herbert and Elsa Froehlich.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11 AM at Christus Lutheran Church, 120 N. Main Street, Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville.
Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established for Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville.
