Mae V. Myer, age 88 of Clintonville was peacefully lifted by the loving arms of her Lord and Savior to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Kindred Hearts Assisted Living Center in Clintonville.

Mae V. Ott was born on May 18, 1928 in Clintonville as the only child of Fred and Viola (Pingel) Ott. She lost her mother to tuberculosis in 1937 and was raised by her father and grandmother. Mae grew up in Clintonville and on November 29, 1947 she married the love of her life; Frank Myer.  The couple lived in Washington D.C. while Frank served in the Navy and then moved back to Clintonville where they have resided since. Mae loved life. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Legend Lake, ice skating, fireworks, knitting, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with her great-grandkids who affectionately called her “Grandma Hey Hey”. Her light became brighter when she became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clintonville.  Mae will always be remembered as a very happy & positive person with a great smile and sense of humor. She loved the Lord her Savior and is in Heaven with her husband, the love of her life.

Survivors include:

Her Children: Laurie (Robert) Lindberg, Appleton & Larry (Shari Blohm) Myer, Neenah.

Grandchildren: Dawn (Rusty) Vanderlinden, Appleton; Tammy (Shawn) Heiting, Kaukauna; Jackie (Kyle) Kuznacic, Fox Crossing; Robin Lindberg, Kaukauna; & Jill (Dan) Myer-Wachowiak, Amherst.

Great-Grandchildren: Brady, Taylor, & Kaitlyn Spierings; Steven, Jewel, Matthias, Star, Asher, & Noble Heiting; Ella Mae (Her name sake) & Konrad Ranes; and Nathan James Wachowiak.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Ida Pingel, and her husband Frank.

Mae’s memorial celebration of life will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 N. Park Street, Clintonville with Rev. Titus Buelow officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers Mae’s family suggests memorials to the Autism Society of the Fox Valley, 1800 Appleton Street, Menasha, WI 54952 or to the Shawano County Humane Society, 1290 Jaycee Ct., Shawano, WI 54166. They would also like to thank the caregivers at Kindred Hearts, Sandy & Art from St. Paul, and Rev. Titus Buelow for all of their kindness and support.
