Mortes "Mort" Christian Kind

Mortes “Mort” C. Kind, age 65 of the Township of Wescott, Shawano County, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017.

Mortes Christian Kind was born December 13, 1952 in Fond du Lac, WI, son of the late Melvin A. & Mary L. (Jesse) Kind. He graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1971. Mort was united in marriage to Jennifer Kautz in 1977 at Zion Lutheran Church, Embarrass; the couple later divorced in 1990. He was employed by Walker Forge Inc., Clintonville for a time, and later worked as a die-maker for Arrowcast Inc. in Shawano for 27 years until retirement in August 2017. Mort loved to spend time on the Cloverleaf lakes boating with family or fishing for panfish. He enjoyed golfing, especially with his brother, Mark. Mort liked to travel to warm destinations with friends and family. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and loved to cheer on the green & gold. Family get-togethers and entertaining were always at the top of his list, and he knew how to have a good time; either out on the dance floor or at the karaoke mic. Mort will be remembered as a man who had a tough exterior, but was like a teddy-bear on the inside with family. He was also a man who was able to see the positive side of any situation.

Son: Luke Kind, Kunson Airbase, South Korea
Grandchildren: Joseph, Tyler, & Alexander Greene; Kenedy & Jackson Kind
Sister: Kelly (Kendall) Hoffman, Fond du Lac
Brother: Mark (Rosemary) Kind, Shawano

He was preceded in death by his parents.   

A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville with the Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. Inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville in the spring.

Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the service.
