Penny Ann Cherny

Penny A. Cherny, age 54 of the Town of Matteson, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at her home.

Penny Ann Cherny was born March 2, 1961 in Shawano, a daughter of the late Eugene & Jeanette (Kerneen) Cherny. After graduation from Marion High School in 1979, she found work caring for children as a babysitter, along with helping out on the farm. Although she didn’t have any children of her own, she still had so much love to give and enjoyed her time working at St. Martin’s Daycare, Clintonville, for 17 years. Penny had a creative spirit and loved arranging flowers, making birthday and wedding cards, cooking, and knitting and crocheting. She also loved and cared for her pets. Penny will be remembered for her outgoing personality, her cooking skills, and the love she showed to family and friends.

Her sister: Bonnie Rank, Clintonville

Her brothers: Jim Cherny (Connie Thulien), Bear Creek

                        Tom (Ellen) Cherny, New Franklin

                        Andy Cherny, Green Bay

Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, & great-nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Tom Rank.    

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville. Inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
