Robert "Bob" L. Edwards

Robert “Bob” L. Edwards, age 75 of the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday evening, November 24, 2015.

Robert Lawrence Edwards was born on October 5, 1940 in Burlington, WI as the son of the late Clarence and Harriet (Williams) Edwards.  He graduated from Waterford High School in 1958 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education at UW Stevens Point and then his Master of Science in Teaching from UW Eau Claire.  Bob was united in marriage to Diane Buse on June 30, 1962 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford.  The couple moved to Clintonville in 1962 where Bob began his teaching career teaching 8th & 9th grade science. Bob had a wonderful dry sense of humor and was never afraid to use it in the classroom.  He had an innate ability to never crack a smile, but remained dedicated to the progress of all of his students. He loved living on the Pigeon River and just being in nature; especially when it came to hunting or fishing.  Bob was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville for many years where he served as secretary for the board of elders and as an usher.  As an avid golfer he became a member of the Riverside Golf Course in Clintonville ever since moving to town.  Bob served on the board for Arbor View Gardens near Embarrass and was a Naturalist for the Navarino Nature Center where he enjoyed teaching youth about nature.  His grandchildren & great-grandchildren were his top priority as he loved his family very much.

Sons: Tim (Christine) Edwards, Menomonie & Matthew (Lynette) Edwards, Clintonville.

Grandchildren: Caleb, Amber, Katie, & Nicolas Edwards and Michael (Rebecca Dybdal)                                  Flasch.

Great-Grandchildren: Matthew & Payton Flasch.

Brothers: John (Marge) Edwards, Highland, CA. & Peter (Sandy) Edwards, Reedsburg.

Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law: Judith Buse, Waterford; Sue (David) Medford, Centerville, TN; & Tom Buse, Rockford, IL.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Christian Burg officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Waterford. Friends may call at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville from 3 – 6 PM Friday and at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Martin Lutheran Church, Arbor View Gardens, or Navarino Nature Center.  An online guestbook for Bob can be found at www.eberhardtstevenson.com.
