Susan “Sis” M. Figlinski, age 56 of the Town of Navarino, Shawano County passed away on Saturday, January 20 , 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care at Maple Lane in the Town of Belle Plaine.
Susan was born on February 9, 1961 in New London as the daughter of Valjean (Tyler) Quaintance and the late Norman W. Quaintance, Sr. Her family moved a number of times while Susan was a child and she was later united in marriage to Brian Long. The couple had 2 sons and later divorced. Susan was later married to Darryell Figlinski on November 1, 1996 in Shawano. She worked for 15 years as a housekeeper for NorthStar Casino in Bowler prior to her health deteriorating. Susan had a fiery personality which often included letting people know they were “number 1”. She had a huge heart when it came to her family and friends and enjoyed collecting Tweety Bird memorabilia. Susan will be forever missed by those closest to her.
Survivors include: Her Husband: Darryell.
Sons: Jeremy & Ryan Long.
Mother: Valjean “Val” Quaintance.
Many loving grandchildren.
Sisters: Cathy Quaintance & Tina (Jeremy) Durkey.
Brothers: Gordy (Val), Dennis, Randy (Carren) Chris (Sara), & Terry (Julie) Quaintance.
Step-Father-in-law: Elmer Lettau.
As well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Susan was preceded in death by her father Norman Quaintance, Sr., brothers; Norman Quaintance, Jr. & Wesley “Butch” Quaintance, sisters; Candy Quaintance, Tammy Berry, & Robin Dawiedczyk, a niece, a nephew, and her mother-in-law & father-in-law; Bennie Figlinski and Dorothy Lettau.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Susan at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the United Methodist Church, 24 13th Street, Clintonville with Rev. Mark Geisthardt officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family.
Susan’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care she received first at her home from Mom Q, Aunt Barb, & Lisa and later from the staff of Maple Lane and Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Kristy Crum.
