Virginia "Ginny" S. (Laatsch) Hilley

Virginia “Ginny” S. Hilley, age 66 of Weyauwega, formerly of Clintonville, passed away Tuesday evening, February 14, 2017 at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega.

Virginia was born on December 22, 1950 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Harold and Ruby (Bowers) Laatsch. She attended St. Martin Lutheran grade school and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1969 before enrolling at UW Madison where she studied Russian for a few years. Virginia was united in marriage to Brian Hilley and the couple had a daughter Rebecca prior to divorcing.  Virginia worked for many years as a Dental Assistant and Office Manager for her father, Harold “Doc” Laatsch’s dentist office in town until Harold’s retirement. She enjoyed traveling with her parents to Germany and attended a number of dental meetings with them throughout the United States. During her school years, Virginia was a dedicated Clintonville Truckers fan. More recently she was devoted to cheering for the Green Bay Packers and even followed hockey. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, taking care of her plants, working on crafts, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and even made centerpieces for the tables at Lakeview Manor.

Survivors include: Her Daughter: Rebecca “Becky” Hilley, Ishpeming, MI.

Her Siblings: Randolph “Randy” (Nancy) Laatsch, Maryland Heights, MO; Pamela (Friend Wayne Lager) Laatsch, Oshkosh; & Richard Laatsch, Oshkosh.

Also numerous other relatives and friends including her guardian; Eloise Krause.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.

Virginia’s funeral service will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 3 PM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, 53 N. Main Street, Clintonville with Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 PM until the time of the service.
