James "Jim" Warnke Obituary

James “Jim” Warnke, age 47 of Clintonville, lost his battle with depression on Thursday April 18, 2024.

James Walter Warnke was born on September 3, 1976 in Wausau as the son of the late Robert and Christine (Schubring) Warnke. Jim graduated from Wausau East High School and began working at Menards. He was united in marriage to Lisa Bartnik on September 25, 1999 at the First Presbyterian Church in Wausau. The couple resided in the Wausau area while Jim drove truck for Schwan’s and later G&B Produce. They moved to Wittenberg, New London, and Manawa prior to settling in the Clintonville area in 2017. Jim worked for the past 10 plus years at Creative Converting in Clintonville. Along the way, Jim and Lisa were blessed with 2 wonderful children; Sienna & Connor. Jim enjoyed reading science fiction novels and watching the Green Bay Packers. Although he battled depression for quite awhile, Jim cherished spending time with his kids. In the winters he would make them a sledding hill in the backyard, played video games together on his Xbox 360, took them fishing to his secret fishing hole on the Wolf River, and helped Connor get his drone up and flying. He was a good dad. The family will always remember the trips they took to South Carolina, Florida, and Texas as well as the many camping trips up north over the years.
