Bernice Mabel (Bevernitz) Uecker

Bernice M. (Bevernitz) Uecker, age 95, of Caroline, passed into eternal life on October 13, 2019 at Care Partners, Clintonville. 

She was the last surviving child born to Christian and Emma (Seitz) Bevernitz, Clintonville. Bernice grew up in Clintonville, graduated from Clintonville High School and worked for several years at FWD. In 1948 she married LeRoy Uecker and moved to Caroline. Bernice and Lee celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2018. Together they raised three children. Bernice joined LeRoy in their family business, the Caroline Service Garage, working there for over 45 years as office manager and bookkeeper. Bernice was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline. She enjoyed growing plants and flowers and watching the wildlife, birds, and butterflies by their home. 

Bernice is survived by her husband LeRoy, their children and spouses, Jeffrey Uecker (& Jane), Mary Uecker-Gluth (& Gary Gluth), and Nancy Uecker; two grandchildren, Susan McManus and Tim Gluth, and their families including five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
 
As per Bernice’s wishes, her immediate family will say their last goodbyes in a private gathering.  

The family extends special gratitude to Pastor Craig Nehring, Compassus and the special staff at Care Partners, Clintonville.
