Betty June (Sasse) Millard, age 88 of Clintonville passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
Betty June was born on July 2, 1931 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Benjamin and Olga (Hoffmann) Sasse. She graduated from Clintonville High School and was united in marriage to Dale Guerin. The couple had a daughter Londa and later divorced. While working at Simmons Juvenile Furniture in New London, Betty caught the eye of Harry Millard and the couple were later united in marriage. Harry preceded his wife in death and Betty later purchased a house in Clintonville across the street from her brother, Merritt. Over the years she enjoyed helping him with his painting jobs and also painted alongside of Tom Hogan for a time. Betty wasn’t afraid of work and was often competitive when working with her family. She enjoyed a good game of Bingo, and loved playing the lottery. In fact, she may have been Publisher’s Clearing Houses’ number one fan. Betty also loved being outdoors fishing or berry picking and had a soft spot for cats; especially her Fluffy. She was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville and is now reunited with her daughter Londa and her grandson Jonathan.
Survivors include: Her Sisters: Gladys Du Mee’ & Mary Ann Romberg of Marion.
A Brother: Merritt Sasse of Clintonville.
Also numerous nieces & nephews.
Betty June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry Millard, her daughter Londa Della, her grandson Jonathan Della, and brothers; Edward, Earl, Lesley “Tut”, Allen “Al”, Arlen “Tiny”, and Willard “Spud” Sasse.
