Clarice Mae Hintz, age 88 of the Township of Dupont, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at ThedaCare Medical Center, New London, WI.
Clarice was born August 13, 1931 in Bonduel, WI, daughter to the late George & Sophia (Backhaus) Kreutzer. She was raised in Bonduel by her Grandmother Mary Backhaus and her Aunt Ella Backhaus, after her mother passed away from complications during child-birth. She graduated from Bonduel High School and attended nursing school in Milwaukee, WI. She was united in marriage to Earl William August Hintz in Bonduel, WI on June 5, 1954. Clarice worked for various clinics and hospitals locally and later worked for over 20 years at Pine Manor Health Care Center (now known as The Pines). She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion, WI where she enjoyed attending with her twin sister, Carol. Clarice was a wonderful homemaker who loved to sew, cook, garden, and can homegrown food. Clarice was always looking out for the needs of others and was very generous with her time, family, neighbors, and friends. She enjoyed her family immensely and loved them unconditionally. Clarice will be remembered for the notes of encouragement she wrote to many, her unwavering Christian faith, and her attitude of gratitude.

Clarice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl William August Hintz; her son, Randall Hintz; sister, Idella Rasmussen; brothers-in-law, William Alvey, Walter Hakala, Harold (Dorothy) Hintz, Marvin (Dawn) Hintz, Milton (Lucinda) Hintz, & Reinhard (Dolores) Hintz
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion, WI with the Rev. Roald Harswick officiating.
Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
Memorials in Clarice’s name may be directed to the Hintz Mission in Thailand through New Hope Lutheran Church 1850 American Dr. Neenah, WI 54956.
