David L. Buss, age 69 of the Township of Pella, Shawano County, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Froedert Hospital, Milwaukee.
David Lee Buss was born October 1, 1950 in Shawano, WI, son to Shirley (Pluger) Buss and the late David P. Buss. He attended Marion High School and was very active in baseball, as a catcher, football, and wrestling. David was united in marriage to Joy Erdmann on October 9, 1968 at Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline. He started working for the F.W.D., Clintonville, and Welch Fire Equipment, Marion; he worked at both manufacturers. He later worked for 3-D Fire Apparatus, Shawano, until his retirement in 1992. David was a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. He loved playing softball, dart ball, and bowling on various local leagues, and also enjoyed racing cars on both dirt and ice. In his spare time, David enjoyed fishing for Northern, hunting, and just in general spending time outside. He was able to take hunting trips to Colorado to hunt Mule Deer. He also was a gifted woodworker, loved to ride his motorcycle and bicycle; as well as playing cards, checkers, and cribbage. He loved his canine companions over the years and spent much of his time walking and caring for them. David will be remembered as a quiet, reserved man who also had a fun and outspoken side once he got to know you.
