David Pues Obituary

David Louis Pues, age 81 of the Town of Maine, Outagamie County, passed away Friday morning January 10, 2020 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in New London.

Dave was born November 25, 1938 in Shawano to the late Harley and Doretta (Schindler) Pues. He attended grade school in Navarino and graduated from Shawano High School in 1956. On May 9, 1959 Dave was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Peeters at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bear Creek. Dave worked at a cheese factory, plywood factory, and Appleton Papers. Through the years he enjoyed playing for and managing various softball teams, and being a vocal spectator for the Navarino Rangers. One of his favorite pastimes was sharing tall tales from long ago while enjoying a cold Miller High Life with friends and neighbors.

Dave is survived by:

Children: Scott Pues (special friend Ginny) of Navarino, Lisa (Paul) Christianson of Amherst, Kurt Pues (special friend Ahmie) of Rhinelander, Tim (Bobbi) Pues of Navarino, & Shelly (Tony) Eggers of Leeman.

Grandchildren: Dustin Christianson, Drew (Cait) Christianson, Dylan Christianson, Samantha (Kyle Coenen) Pues, Westley Pues, Alexandra (Jarred Weiman) Pues, Tricia Pues, Luke Eggers, Wyatt Pues, & Hayley Pues.

Great-Grandchildren: Makayla, Brystol, Duke, Josie, Berkely, & Benjamin.

Siblings: Roger (Joanna) Pues, James (Bonnie) Pues, & Russell (Donna) Pues.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, his parents, son Jeffrey, sisters Harlene (Edward) Giese and Nora Jean (James) McCoy, and his Father-in-law & Mother-in-law Christian and Angarose Peeters.

According to Dad’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be planned this summer at the Navarino Ballpark. Dad has known many wonderful people during his life who loved him just as he was. He considered you all great friends.
