Donald A. Dobratz

Donald “Don” A. Dobratz, age 87 of Stevens Point, passed away Wednesday evening, May 22, 2019 at Willow Brooke Senior Living in Stevens Point.

Donald was born on June 23, 1931 in Milwaukee as the son of the late Walter and Frances (Binder) Dobratz. He graduated from the University of Milwaukee and was employed by the City of Milwaukee in the field of Employee Benefits. Don was united in marriage to Genevieve McKay on October 6, 1990 in Milwaukee. In 2000 the couple moved to Stevens Point where Don was a member of Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church.  During his retirement years, Don enjoyed biking, hiking, fishing, and traveling. He also volunteered in the Stevens Point community at Operation Bootstrap and enrolled in the Learning is Forever Program.

Survivors include: His wife: Genevieve Dobratz.

Son: Steve Dobratz.

Daughters: Mary Lilienthal & Diana (Wes) Schmidt.

5 Grandchildren & 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents.

Donald’s funeral service will be held Saturday June 1, 2019 at 1 PM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, 1029 N. Main Street, Marion, WI with Rev. Susan Zencka officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery also in Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 PM until the time of the service. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
