Welcome to the memorial page for

Judith "Judy" A. (Borchardt) Zeuske

December 31, 1945 ~ December 29, 2017 (age 71) 71 Years Old

Judith “Judy” A. Zeuske, age 71 of Clintonville, formerly of the Town of Matteson, Waupaca County, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, December 29, 2017 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Clintonville.

Judy was born on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1945 as the youngest of three children of the late Clarence and Georgia (Dahm) Borchardt. Her brother Bob “claimed” that she was spoiled. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville and graduated from grade school in 1960. Judy always was proud of the education she received from the nuns at St. Rose School. She then graduated from Clintonville High School with the Class of 1964 where one of her fondest memories was attending the high school basketball tournament in Madison. Judy’s biggest disappointment was not going to college after working at Clintonville Fire Apparatus and the canning factory to help save up funds. Judy started working at FWD Seagrave in Clintonville; starting as a file clerk and was later happily trained to become a draftsperson-thanks to Don Sawall. In 1969 she became employed at Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton where she was the only female in the drafting department. Judy enjoyed her co-workers and considered them her extended family. She was grateful to Doug Ogilvie for personally recruiting her. On November 11, 1979 Judy married Don Zeuske and became a farm gal. The city slicker adjusted well to driving tractor like an expert; even backing up the equipment. Judy was elected to the Matteson Town Board and served for 27 years. She was a representative on the Clintonville Police & Fire Commission, CAWS Board, Library Board, and the Red Cross Board. Judy was also active as a member of the United Methodist Church in Clintonville where she served as Chair of the Trustees, was active in the Candlelight Circle, served as President of the U.M.W., and helped organize many fundraisers. Over the years, Judy enjoyed shooting pool & bowling; which is how she met Don.  She was extremely honored to be the Fireman’s Parade Marshall and was a substitute rural mail carrier at times. Judy and Don were successful produce farmers after retiring from dairy farming. She also grew beautiful gladiolas just like her dad. They canned pickles and beets which they sold or donated to church functions. As a Zeuske family tradition, they also picked plenty of Door County Cherries each year to share with family and friends. Judy enjoyed their new home with a basement and attached garage. Don literally “bribed” her to have a basement. The couple were inseparable in life and following Don’s passing this past August are once again reunited in the presence of their Lord and Savior.

Survivors include:

Her Brother: Jim (Janet) Borchardt.

In-Laws: Eugene (Vi) Zeuske, Duane (Mabel) Zeuske, Joyce Geiger, & Mary Lynn Borchardt.

Also by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, a brother; Robert “Bob” Borchardt, and brothers-in-law; Dennis (Dorothy) Zeuske & Russ Geiger.

Judy’s memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clintonville with Rev. Joyce Rich & Rev. Roberta Thomson officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville in the spring. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Judy’s family. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements. An online guestbook for Judy can be found at www.eberhardtstevenson.com. Also Judy’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff members at Greentree and Care Partners for their compassionate care.
