Welcome to the memorial page for

Paul O. Eberhardt

January 15, 1949 ~ April 7, 2016 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Paul O. Eberhardt, age 67 of Clintonville, passed away unexpectedly while at his winter home in Punta Gorda, FL on Thursday April 7, 2016 of a sudden heart attack with his wife Nancy and numerous friends by his side.

Paul was born on January 15, 1949 in Clintonville as the son of Florence (Oertel) Eberhardt and the late Roy Eberhardt.  He attended St. Martin Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Clintonville High School. Paul then went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard.  He graduated from the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science and started working for his family’s funeral business; Eberhardt Funeral Home, now known as Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville & Marion. On September 11, 1971, Paul was united in marriage to Nancy Susa at St. Martin Lutheran Church. The couple lived in and around the Clintonville area their entire life where Paul served the Clintonville and Marion communities as a funeral director for many years. He was a caring and professional funeral director; retiring in 2002 to make room for his son in the family business.  Paul was a faithful member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville where he was a past communion assistant and served on the church finance committee.  He was a member of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63, and past president of the Clintonville Lion’s Club as well as the Clintonville Curling Club.  His love for the game of golf led him to many years of membership at the Clintonville Riverside Golf Course. Paul loved to spend time in the outdoors with family and friends.  Basically, if it had horns, swam, or flew he caught or hunted it.  Often he would come home dirty from hours of planting food plots on his Ford tractor.  He enjoyed a glass (or two) of scotch and along with Nancy enjoyed going out to local restaurants with their friends. For the past 10 plus years the couple has enjoyed spending time in Florida where they met lots of wonderful people that Paul spoke fondly of often. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family and we take comfort in knowing he is in the care of his Lord and Savior.  Until we see you again Dad……
