Ramona Ludvigsen Obituary

Ramona I. Ludvigsen, age 83 of Embarrass passed away Wednesday morning, January 9, 2019 at The Pines Post Acute and Memory Care Center in Embarrass.

Ramona was born on April 22, 1935 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late David and  Mabel (Olsen) McGlin. She attended school in Clintonville and later moved to Milwaukee for a few years before returning back home to Clintonville. She was united in marriage to Hollis Ludvigsen on July 11, 1959 in Gabbs, NV. The couple spent a few years in Nevada and returned to Clintonville where they raised their family. Ramona was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Matteson until its closing when she became a member of Christus Lutheran Church. She was employed at American Toy & Furniture in Hortonville for roughly 13 years. Ramona loved her animals; especially her cats. She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed cooking & taking care of her family. Ramona also enjoyed singing at local nursing homes with her husband Hollis playing guitar. She had a knack for playing Bingo and adored all of her great-nieces and great-nephews.

Survivors include: Her Son: John Ludvigsen, Shawano.

Daughters: LuAnn Ludvigsen, Waupaca & Delores “Birdie” Sarenac, Sullivan.

Granddaughter: Alicia Sarenac, Palmyra.

Sister: Delores (Kermit) Derozier, Clintonville.

Also numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hollis in 2008, sons Terry & Michael, brothers David Jr. & Ervin, and a sister Mary Gosz.

Ramona’s funeral service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 3:30 PM at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in the Town of Matteson in the spring. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 2:30 PM until the time of the service.
