Ronnie “Ron” G. Mehlberg, age 54 of Caroline, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home.
Ron entered the earthly world on March 29th, 1965; just one day after the family home was destroyed by a fire. He went to his heavenly home on May 28th, 2019 after a year-long battle with cancer. Ron’s parents Leslie & Germaine “Mickey” Mehlberg, Caroline; Maternal Grandparents August & Irene Watters, Caroline; Paternal Grandparents Harry & Martha Mehlberg, Caroline. Ron worked hard as carpenter, handy man, and maintenance in both Wisconsin and Alaska. Those who knew Ron best will always remember him for his dedication and unwavering love for his family but most of all for Jesus our Lord and Savior. He had a passion for woodworking with barnwood and lumber in his Dad’s shop, producing priceless pieces for his family and friends. Ron made friends everywhere he went. His Mehlberg sense of humor was a delight to all who met him. In his free time Ron enjoyed being outdoors especially fishing up the middle branch of the Embarrass River in Caroline. Ron’s family and friends will always remember him for his infectious smile and unmistakable wave. He will be dearly missed by his family.

Nieces & Nephews: Scott (Dawn) Krueger, Hortonville; Sheldon (Amber) Mehlberg, Valdez, AK; Tammy (Jay) Wara, Oshkosh; Jacob (Connie) Mehlberg, Chandler, AZ; Guy (Sondra) Guetschow, Shawano; Crystal Guetschow, Richmond, MI.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, Ron was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Mehlberg, Valdez, Alaska in 2015.
Our family would like to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to Terry for giving Ron rides to and from treatment during his fight. An additional sincere thanks to Heartland hospice and the amazing staff at Arborview Manor in Oshkosh. Your care during the last several weeks will always be an example of how we are to treat others.
Ron’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline with Rev. Craig Nehring officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Caroline. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville is assisting his family.
