Sandra Lee (Domm) Sanders

Sandra L. Sanders, age 75 of the Town of Bear Creek, passed away Wednesday, January 02, 2019 at Aster Assisted Living, Clintonville.

Sandra Lee Sanders was born March 22, 1943 in Buffalo, NY. She was adopted as an infant and grew up in Nebraska. After graduation from high school, Sandra worked waiting tables at a truck stop diner in Hebron, NE. She met and married Rex Bell and the couple did some traveling together as Rex’s work; building grain bins and other grain elevator equipment; took them all over the country. Sandra later worked as a caregiver at a nursing home in Aurora, NE, and retired in the mid-1980s. During her retirement years, she lived in Golden Valley, AZ and loved to work in her garden and go fishing. In November of 1994, Sandra was married to Albert L. Sanders; he later passed away in 2010. In 2017, Sandra moved to the Bear Creek area to be closer to her son, Jon. She liked to spend most of her free time at home cooking and canning, but always loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her:

Son: Jonathan “Jon” (Brenda) Bell, Bear Creek

Grandchildren: James Wachter, Jon “J.D.” (Cassandra Shaw) Bell, & Casandra (Brandon Korbisch) Bell

Great-grandchildren: Waylon & Wyatt Bell; and another great-grandchild on the way.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Herman C. & Emma S.M. (Hefman) Damm; and her husbands, Rex Bell & Albert Sanders.

As per Sandra’s wishes, no formal services will be held.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville is assisting her family.
