Agnes Dorothy Elizabeth (Bowan) Meyer Kort, age 94, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2006 at Greentree Nursing Home, Clintonville, WI.

Agnes was born on June 19, 1911 in Shawano, WI as the 5th child of 14 children to John and Martha (Schultz) Bowan.

On February 27, 1930, Agnes married Byron (Barney) Meyer. They had three children, Phyllis, John, and Patricia. Agnes later moved to Milwaukee and was the head cook at a Jewish Nursing Home for 20 years. Agnes then married Ervin Kort Sr. in June of 1970 and gained a stepson, Ervin Jr. (Sonny). Agnes is survived by her son John (Joyce) Meyer of Neenah and her daughter Patricia (Gene) Wetzel of Marion, Step daughter-in-law, Kathy Kort of Appleton, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Bowan, two husbands, Byron (Barney) Meyer and Ervin Kort Sr., her daughter Phyllis (Hamilton) Thies, her stepson Ervin (Sonny) Kort Jr., and is the last to join her 13 siblings in heaven.
