Alan J. Lautenschlager, age 57 of the Town of Greenville, Outagamie County passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on Christmas morning December 25, 2025.
Alan Joseph Lautenschlager was born in Appleton on August 1, 1968 as the son of the late Eugene and Virginia (Lehman) Lautenschlager. He graduated from Hortonville High School with the Class of 1986. Alan began working in sales with Riesterer & Schnell and then with Eis Implement in Two Rivers, known affectionately by customers as “John Deere Al”. He was united in marriage to his love, Lindsey Curtis on September 27, 2017 in Appleton. Al was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. He loved hunting, boating, singing country music, making sure his lawn looked beautiful like a golf course, utv riding, gardening, and any days spent with his granddaughter. Al had a contagious smile, was the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. Al loved all of his family dearly and treasured all family gatherings. Throughout their life together, Al loved, treasured and protected his wife Lindsey.

Al was preceded in death by his parents Eugene & Virginia, an infant brother Gene Joseph, and by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Al’s Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 1, 2026 at 11am at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville with Rev. Kevin Westra officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9am until the time of the service. A Memorial UTV ride will be held this coming summer at a date and time yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Al’s family. They would like to thank the staff at both St. Elizabeth Hospital and Preceptor Hospice, and a very special thank you to Dr. Starr who never gave up.
