Ann Zilch Obituary

Ann M. Zilch, age 57 of Clintonville, passed away early Sunday morning, June 2, 2024 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Ann Zilch, born on August 12, 1966, in West Bend, WI, peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. Ann was one of four children born to Roy and Fae (Rew) Severson.

Ann's journey began with her graduation from Clintonville High School in 1984. Driven by a desire to serve her country, she joined the Air Force in 1985 and served with distinction until 1989, receiving an honorable discharge.

After her military service, Ann explored various career paths. She started by working alongside her mother in a cleaning business, demonstrating her strong work ethic and commitment to family. Her path led her to several positions, including a role at Sturms in Manawa, Subway, and working as a security guard. However, it was at Eversons IGA in Clintonville, where she worked as a night manager, that her life truly changed. There, she met Timothy Zilch, the man who would become her lifelong partner. Their love story began with a sweet date over Dairy Queen ice cream at Olen Park and blossomed into a beautiful marriage in 1998 at the old Family of Christ Church across from City Hall.

Ann and Timothy were blessed with two wonderful children, Alicia (21) and Christopher (24), and enjoyed 26 years of loving marriage. Ann was a devoted mother who found immense joy in spending time with her family. Her children were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment with them.

Ann had a passion for simple pleasures. She loved playing board games, with Aggravation, Uno, Life, and Monopoly being among her favorites. She found tranquility in nature, enjoying walks and listening to the birds. A keen word search enthusiast, she also took great delight in reading her Bible and taking notebooks upon notebooks of notes. Also, she loved going to thrift stores or rummage sales, with Goodwill and Rummage Ramma Weeks being her favorite.

Ann's life was a testament to love, family, and finding joy in the little things. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Timothy, her children, Alicia and Christopher, and her two sisters, Barbara and Danielle. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Fae, and her brother, Chris. Her warm smile, contagious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering spirit will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

In honoring Ann's memory, let us celebrate the beautiful life she led and the love she shared with everyone around her.
