Armond "Jay" E. Fehrman

May 15, 1932 ~ August 17, 2020 (age 88)


Armond Emil Fehrman was born on May 15, 1932 in Embarrass as the son of the late Armond and Mabel (Schmidt) Fehrman, Sr. Jay graduated from Clintonville High School in 1950 and went on to serve his country as a police officer in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Lois Nuske on May 29, 1954 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. The couple raised their 3 children and spent many wonderful years together. They were very active in the community as members at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville Riverside Golf Course, Clintonville Curling Club, and Jay was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #63 and VFW Post #664 in town. Jay started out his career as a salesman for Phenix Manufacturing in Shawano where he sold garage doors. He proudly worked his way up in the company and retired in the late 1990s as a District Manager. After Lois’ passing in 2010, Jay met Marlene Wanta and the couple were later united in marriage on May 16, 2015 at St. Rose. The couple loved going out for dinner and spent 5 wonderful years together. Jay will be remembered by his family as an outdoorsman who loved sharing his passion for hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

Sons: Dennis (Marcy) Fehrman, Wausau & Doug (Jeni) Fehrman, Sheboygan.
Grandchildren: Laura (Kyle) Young, Jessica Nelson, Jenny (Josh) Roloff, Greg Fehrman, Abby (Drew) Barman, and Ben & Erin Fehrman.
Step-Daughters: Kandi (Marlyn) Sprenger & Kristen (Stewart) Baker.
Step-Sons: Greg, Kevin, Erich (Sally), and Keith (Denise) Kuss.
Jay was also survived by numerous other relatives, friends, and their dog Missy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois, son-in-law Randy Nelson, and brothers Alvin and Lyle (Rita) Fehrman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately for Jay and officiated by Fr. Timothy Shillcox O. Praem, but the public is invited to attend a visitation at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 10AM until 12 noon. Jay’s family respectfully asks those attending his service to consider wearing a mask. Interment at St. Rose Cemetery will follow the visitation and military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by members of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63, VFW Post #664, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #63. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is entrusted with his arrangements.
