Barbara A. Strauch, age 76 of the Village of Greenville, passed away on Thursday April 10, 2025 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.
Barbara “Barb” Ann Strauch was born on May 5, 1948 in Green Bay, WI, daughter to the late Casimir H. & Amanda C. (Nowak) Sczepanski. She attended St. Mary Catholic School in Menasha where she later graduated. Barb was united in marriage to Vernon J. Strauch at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Menasha on May 6, 1967. The couple raised two boys, Timothy and James. She worked as a manager for various restaurants in the area and later retired around the year 2000 due to health challenges. When she could no longer work, Barb put all of her energy into crafting. She made potato bags, quilts, and enjoyed going to craft fairs. Barb was most known for the special, hand-made Christmas cards that she spent countless hours on, bringing holiday season joy to friends and family. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, Greenville. Her favorite place to travel with Vernon was the gigantic Shipshewana Flea Market in Indiana. They loved taking part in the bed and breakfasts there, and Barb was right at home using her haggling skills with the vendors. She could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, and Barb will be remembered for her faith, her great work-ethic, and how she loved to be social with family and friends.
Barb is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Vernon
Sons: Timothy Strauch, New London & James Strauch, Clintonville
Grandson: Thomas Strauch
