Betty L. Brevik, age 89 of Iola passed away Saturday afternoon June 8, 2024 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca.
Betty Lou Malueg was born on October 24, 1934 in the Town of Germania, Shawano County as the daughter of the late Louis and Dorothea “Dorothy” (Popelka) Malueg. She graduated from Tigerton High School and was united in marriage to Arlyn E. Brevik on May 9, 1953 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Tigerton where Betty was still an active member. Throughout the years Betty was employed at Lakeview Farms in Rosholt for 15 years and then worked part-time for Delmonte USA in Plover retiring in 1998. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #8068 in Elderon where she volunteered and enjoyed friendships made throughout the years. In her spare time Betty enjoyed gardening and taking “day-trips” with family to various locations around the state. She loved her family very much and was happiest spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include: Her Daughter: Judy (Daniel) Johnson.
Grandchildren: Scott, Amanda, and Ashley Johnson.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Arlyn Sr., her son Arlyn Jr., and her brother Kenneth (Elaine) Malueg.
A private graveside service will be held for Betty at Union Cemetery in Tigerton with Rev. Dean Suehring officiating. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Tigerton is assisting her family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
