Beverly “Bev” A. (Braatz) Fischer, age 70 of Marion, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Bev was born November 13, 1952, in Clintonville, WI to the late Walter and Alice (Bazile) Braatz. She graduated from Marion High School. On June 30, 1973, she was united in marriage to Robert Fischer at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion. Bob’s passing broke her heart and they are reunited in heaven.

She was devoted to taking care of her family. While being a stay-at-home mom she also cared for many other children within her home. She was very persistent in decorating her house from inside to the outside for every holiday. She loved gathering the family together to celebrate the holidays and cook everything they liked. Baking was her passion and she loved sharing the treats with everyone around her. She made the best cutout Christmas cookies with frosting and sprinkles. We will miss them.

She enjoyed being around people when she worked out of the home where she shared her talent of making pies. She was so proud of the many accomplishments her children achieved. She adored watching her children grow up and start their own families. Spending time with her grandkids meant the world to her. Playing cards and games was the highlight of her day. Multiple days of the week she would play sheepshead with her friends. Cribbage was her game and teaching it to her family was key.

Bev is survived by her Daughter: Dayna (Tim) Conradt, Clintonville; Son: Cory (Jana) Fischer, Somerset; Grandchildren: Tyler (fiancé Allysin), Cody and Caleb Conradt. Brady and Grant Fischer.
Brothers: Norman Braatz, ID and Robert (Jeanne) Braatz. Sister-n-law: Ila Mae (James) Darland of IL. Many nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her in-laws, August & Ilabell Fischer, brothers Thomas and Larry Braatz and sister-n-law, Kathryn Braatz.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the amazing care given by Kim, ARC Angels Home Care and ProMedica.

As per Bev’s wishes, no formal services will be held at this time.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion is assisting the Fischer family with arrangements.
