Bonnie Pues Obituary

Bonnie J. Pues, age 72 of the Town of Navarino, Shawano County passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 4, 2022.

Bonnie was born on Valentines Day, February 14, 1950 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Eugene and Mildred (Van Voorhis) Carpenter. She spent her early years in Clintonville and as a child her family moved to the Navarino area. She was united in marriage to James “Jim” Pues on December 18, 1969 in Michigan. Bonnie and Jim spent the first 10 years of their marriage living in the Leeman area prior to building their current home in the Town of Navarino. Bonnie was a lifelong member of Maranatha Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School over the years. As a young woman Bonnie worked at the Hortonville Toy Factory and then moved on to work at Sobeys Inc. She loved children and enjoyed babysitting for quite a few different families before spending the last 17 years of her working career as a manager for Kwik Trip in Shawano. After retirement she enjoyed babysitting for her grandson and also looked forward to games of Wahoo with her sisters (and anyone else who dared to take them on). Some of her favorite pastimes were bowling, crafting, crocheting, and trips to the casino, with her luck charm Jim, playing slots. She was someone you could always talk to, whether as a sound board, to chat about silly stuff the kids did, or anything that you needed to get off your chest. You could laugh and cry and most importantly just be yourself. She loved being around family as much as possible and you could never leave a gathering without a hug. She wore all 50 pairs of her crocs year-round like a Rockstar. She was loving and kind with a heart of gold, and had a smile and laughter that could light up a room. Bonnie knew her Lord, put her trust in him, and is reunited with loved ones waiting for her in His kingdom.
