Carl W. Schinke, age 86 of the Town of Maine, Outagamie County, got his wish to pass away at his home farm under the care of his family and ThedaCare at Home Hospice on Friday morning, February 3, 2023.
Carl was born on April 27, 1936 at the Schinke farm as the son of the late William and Maude (Johnson) Schinke. He graduated from Shiocton High School in 1954. Carl was united in marriage to Leona Geer on May 27, 1957 again at his home farm where the couple has resided ever since. Although Carl retired from farm work in recent years, he was part of the farm operation until the day he passed away. During their younger years, Carl and Leona logged many miles traveling the country on their Honda Goldwing. They were faithful members of the Trinity United Church of Christ near Leeman in the Town of Maine where Carl was on the dartball team. He also enjoyed shooting pool and playing cards.

Son: Steven (Monica) Schinke.
Granddaughter: Jennifer (Josh) Erb
Sisters: Midge Pues & Myra Langner.
Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law: Florine Casper, Ruth Schinke, Rosemary (Frank) Wepner, Carol (Roger) Pludeman, and DeWayne Heckenlaible.
Also numerous other family members.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law Beatrice “Beth” Schinke, siblings; Edna (Roger) Jarchow, Louise (Joe) Headly, Harold Schinke, Ben Schinke, Lee Casper, a brother-in-law Harley Pues, and a sister-in-law Irene Heckenlaible.
Carl’s memorial service will be held Tuesday February 7, 2023 at 11am at the Trinity United Church of Christ in the Town of Maine. Rev. Moira Finley will officiate and inurnment will take place at a later date at the Bethesda Cemetery in the Town of Navarino, Shawano County. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Carl’s family.
