Carol Lilly Obituary

Carol S. Lilly, age 53 of the Township of Grant, Shawano County, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, April 26, 2022 at her home.

Carol Sue Lilly was born September 21, 1968 in Chicago, IL, daughter to Farol Tomsovic and the late James “Jake” E. Tomsovic. She grew up in the Marion area and attended Marion High School, where she played trombone in the band and graduated with the class of 1986. She then moved to the Milwaukee area where she worked for a trucking company. Carol met Kenneth F. Lilly in 1992, the couple moved back to the area in 1994; and after Ken’s grandparents passed away, they bought the house in the Town of Grant where they have lived since. Ken and Carol were united in marriage on August 26, 1995 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marion, WI. She was currently working in the customer service department at United Health Care. Carol loved taking road trips with her mother, Farol and others. They traveled all around the country to places like: Mount Rushmore, The Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, The Grand Ole Opry, and San Francisco, CA. Carol loved spending time toiling in her vegetable garden, often giving away most of its bounty. She also was excited anytime she was able to spot a bird at home or in her travels. Her fear of heights was known well by her family, and was noticeable whenever she was in a car traveling on mountain roads or over a bridge. During the early days of COVID, Carol did shopping for friends and family when they couldn’t go out. She will be remembered for her servant’s heart and the love she had for her family and friends.
