Carol A. Poehler, age 81 of Clintonville, passed away early Thursday morning, July 11, 2024 at Care Partners Assisted Living, Clintonville.
Carol Ann Poehler was born September 25, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI; daughter to the late Joseph & Agnes (Wanker) Names. She was a hard worker and served in the quality control department at Xymox Technologies, an electrical manufacturer in Milwaukee. Carol was lucky enough to be able to travel to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Las Vegas, and she really enjoyed South Dakota. Her interests included, diamond art beading, coloring, painting, and trying her luck at Bingo wherever she could find it. Always the social butterfly, Carol cherished her community at Care Partners and proclaimed herself “on the committee,” always looking out for the residents and visitors. Time spent with her family was precious, whether it was riding around in the UTV, playing cornhole, or any other yard game outside. Carol could always be counted on to throw a ticket, or 20, in the bucket at local raffles in hopes of winning a basket. Stopping at a Chinese restaurant was something Carol always looked forward to when headed to her medical appointments. She had a zest for life and will be remembered as a person who was fun to be around and always willing to try anything.
Carol is survived by her children: Darlene (Rory) Otto, Colgate; Brian (Aimee) Draheim, Marion; Cheryl (Dave) Awe, Tigerton; Joe (Lori) Draheim, Lavalle
Grandchildren: Tina Hansen, Donnie Hansen, Dan Hansen, Ashley Hansen, Nick (Loren) Otto, Stephanie Draheim, Jessica Draheim, Jamie Awe, Tony (Jennifer) Awe, David (Krissy) Awe, Ashley Awe, Katie Robinson, & Kyle Robinson
