Christopher “Cheeser” M. Stemper, age 51 of Clintonville passed away on Saturday June 29, 2024 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah surrounded by his family and girlfriend.
Chris was born on December 9, 1972 to Michael and Jean (Wright) Stemper in Clintonville. He received the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville. He was part of the graduating Class of 1992 from Clintonville High School. Following high school Chris went on to work at New London Engineering where he has been employed for the last 30 years and developed a close relationship with his boss and co-workers. Chris enjoyed helping friends with farm work over the years. His true passion was driving a John Deere combine; especially with his co-pilot Amy. In his free time he enjoyed tractor pulling and being part of Mares pulling team. He was blessed to have Chad and Connor as amazing friends along with the Terry and Brenda Birling family. Chris will always be remembered for being a prankster, for his quick wit, and as the “Colby Cheese Man” for parties.
Survivors include: His Parents: Mike “Cheese” and Jean Stemper of Clintonville.
Brother: Shawn (Shanda) Stemper of Shawano.
Nieces: Layden and Layla Stemper.
Girlfriend: Amy Stuhr.
Also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leroy and Joyce Stemper & Lester and Jeanette Wright; uncles Denis Wright, Jim Wright, Steve VanderWerff, and Terry Bloedorn, and by a cousin Phillip Kreutzberg.
Mass of Christian will be held for Chris on Wednesday July 3,2024 at 11am at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville with Fr. Timothy Shillcox O. Praem officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established. The family would like to thank Manawa Ambulance Service, Theda Star, and ThedaCare Medical Center of Neenah. Also thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Chris during this most difficult time. He will be sadly missed by all. He was able to help others as he was a donor of his tissue, bone, and eye.
