Christopher "Chris" Jarvis Obituary

Christopher “Chris” J. Jarvis, age 58 of the Town of Deer Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at ThedaCare Medical Center, Shawano.

Christopher James Jarvis was born December 8, 1966 in Clintonville, WI, son to the late Harold & Katherine (Johnson) Jarvis. He grew up as a 3rd generation farmer on his family’s farm, learning the value of hard work; milking cows and working with horses from the age of two. He was active with the FFA in school and later graduated from Clintonville High School. Chris was united in marriage to Bonnie Davidson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. He worked for a time as a technician at Rohan’s Repair, Bear Creek, working on farm equipment. He also worked as a custodian at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville, and more recently as a custodian at the Clintonville High School for the last 6 years. He loved deer hunting and sharing his hunting stories over the years, and also enjoyed fishing whenever he could. Chris could often be found at local farm auctions visiting with friends or making new ones. He easily made friends and could hold conversations with anyone. Chris enjoyed mowing the lawn and maintaining his International Harvester farm equipment. He could be a stubborn “old goat,” but had nothing but love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. As a guy who would give you the shirt off his back, Chris would send them to “Chris-Mart,” (Chris’ shed and workshop) to grab or use anything they needed. He faithfully cared for his “hay-burners,” Chris’ loving way of referring to his horses. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his family, his early morning sharing of Tic-tok videos, and the unwavering dedication and care he displayed.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Bonnie
Children: Brittany (Austin) Lorge, Travis (Sebiana) Jarvis, Cody (Shannon) Jarvis, Becka (Mitchell) Waniger, & Clayton Jarvis
Grandchildren: Bentley, Cameron, Luke, Olivia, Aspen, & Emmett
Brother-in-law: Todd Davidson

His canine companion: Blues

Chris was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Mark Javis.
