Clairman “Kermie” L. Ashauer, age 79 of Clintonville passed away Saturday morning, April 20, 2024 at Aster Assisted Living in Clintonville.
Clairman Leo Ashauer, affectionately known as “Kermie”, was born on July 17, 1944 in Clintonville as the son of the late Leo “Barney” and Rachel (Crowner) Ashauer. He graduated from Clintonville High School and was united in marriage to Kathleen “Kathy” Kairis on April 23, 1983 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Kermie was a resident of Clintonville his entire life. His name became synonymous with Klein Automotive. Kermie became part of the Clintonville Klein family, doing all sorts of tasks for over 48 years. Kermie was currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass
He enjoyed golfing, watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his beloved pets and friends. His greatest joy in life was bringing joy to others. Kermie was an integral part of the Clintonville community. Anyone who met Kermie could never forget him and his smile and laughter made this world a little brighter.
Survivors include a few distant relatives, treasured dog Daisy and all of his friends and family at Klein Automotive.
Kermie was preceded in death by his parents Leo “Barney” and Rachel, wife Kathleen Ashauer, his brother Luther Ashauer, and by sisters Maryann Luedke & Rebecca Ashauer.
A memorial service will be held for Kermie on Thursday May 16, 2024 at 4pm at Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass with Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating.
