Constance “Connie” J. Rice, age 63 of the Township of Bovina, passed away on Sunday evening, July 30, 2023 at ThedaCare Medical Center, New London.
Constance “Connie” Jean Rice was born April 4, 1960 near Clintonville, WI, daughter to the late Clarence & Alice (Meister) Jaeger. She was united in marriage to Patrick J. Rice at Zion Lutheran Church, Embarrass on May 1, 1976. She graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1978 and found her joy in caring for her children and her new family. As her kids got older, they became active with Scouting and 4-H; Connie was always there to help with their activities. Skilled with needle and thread or sewing machine, Connie made clothes, Halloween costumes and many other pieces over the years. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Connie enjoyed traveling; history museums were one of her favorite destinations. She also took pleasure in looking for eagles on drives along the Mississippi River. As well as always looking forward to trips to Branson, MO with the National Automatic Sprinkler Industry UA Local 669 retirees. She cherished the time she was able to spend with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Connie will be remembered as a kind-hearted person who was easy-going, and never had an issue starting up a conversation with folks and making new friends.

She is further survived by Pat’s siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sarah Hetchler.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 AM - 12 PM, Monday, August 7, 2023 at The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home South Location, 299 S. Main St. Clintonville, WI 54929. Graveside committal and inurnment will take place at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Clintonville following the service, with Deacon Paul Brulla officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Connie’s name will be directed to the Sheila Schmidt & Patti Besstte Cancer Memorial Pool Tournament, or please consider a donation to your local Children’s Hospital.
