Dakota Paul Anker was born on January 1, 2000 in Shawano as the son of Matthew and Michelle “Mikki” (Smith) Anker. He graduated from Marion High School with the Class of 2018. Dakota enjoyed helping his buddy Wyatt at Blashe Auto Body and recently followed his passion of racing go-karts with friends at GSR Kartway. He also had fun playing volleyball for The Caroline Legion and shooting pool for D’s Corner Pocket in Marion. Dakota had a love for the outdoors and looked forward to fishing trips and bowhunting each year as well as snowboarding when he had the chance. He was caring, always had time for his grandmother, and was a jokester; seemingly always goofing around. Dakota was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marion.
