David L. Pike

David L. Pike, age 90 of the Town of Grant. Shawano County passed away at his home Monday morning September 25, 2023.

David was born on August 3, 1933. After 90 years on earth, Dave transitioned to Heaven where he rejoined his beloved Dorothy “Honey” (Roth) Pike, infant daughter Cynthia, his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is missed by his children: Mark (Sandy), Kathy (Greg), Chris (Ken), Paul (Gen), Bob, and Tom (Fritzie), 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren as well as siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Dave lived a full active life, but above all he loved God, his large extended kin, hunting, fishing, football, sweets, and especially his A. A. family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for David on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at 11 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marion with Fr. Matt Settle officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9am until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery with military honors conducted by members of the Marion American Legion Post 198. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

As Dave was a Korean War Veteran, if desired memorials can be made to Honor Flight or VA Fisher House. No flowers please. The family would also like to thank ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their care and support.

When asked how he was doing, Dad always replied “Better than I deserve.” Well Dad, you deserve the best – Rest in Peace.
