David H. Polzin, age 85 of the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County passed away Monday morning, December 4, 2023 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano.
David Harley Polzin was born in Marion on March 6, 1938 as the son of the late Walter and Esther (Kopitzke) Polzin. He graduated from Marion High School in 1956 and was united in marriage to Donna Mevis on May 10, 1958 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Marion. The couple farmed in Dupont where they were faithful members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for many years. As a lifetime member of St. Paul’s, David volunteered often at church, served on Church Council, and was the Sunday School Superintendent over the years. After retiring from farming he worked part-time for Dupont Cheese and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and making maple syrup in his spare time. David looked forward to their weekly Friday night cards with family and the annual New Year’s Eve parties with close friends. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and very proud to have been in attendance at the famous Ice Bowl. Family was everything and he loved them all very much.
